Claudio Scopelliti Joins Rampage: Elevating Coaching and Player Development

Claudio Scopelliti, an experienced hockey coach from Italy, has joined Rampage for a six-month stint, bringing a wealth of knowledge and international experience. Scopelliti began his hockey journey early, playing from the age of 4 to 21 for Alleghe, a well-known Italian team. After his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, spending five years in Italy before pursuing further education in sports coaching and management.

Scopelliti studies at the prestigious Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, known for its innovative approach to sports education. Throughout his time there, Scopelliti has been immersed in the psychology of coaching and the importance of understanding athletes' development. Studying alongside peers from 16 different nationalities, he learned how diverse perspectives can enrich coaching methodologies, allowing him to integrate these insights into his coaching style.

Now, in his third year, Scopelliti is completing his work placement with Rampage, working closely with the Tier 2 program. His primary goal is to understand how Rampage functions as a club and how its youth players are developed to reach higher levels of competition. He is assisting the coaching staff with techniques and helping strengthen the overall structure of the program.

Scopelliti had numerous opportunities across different clubs but chose Rampage as the best fit for his development. His time with the team will be focused on elevating the club’s coaching strategies and ensuring that its players are equipped to succeed at advanced levels. His presence is expected to have a lasting impact on Rampage's hockey program.
