Deke the Halls Families and Participants,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 7th Annual Deke the Halls Tournament, proudly sponsored by Lolley’s Ice Cream! This event is all about celebrating the season, the love of hockey, and the joy of competition—and we can't wait to see you on the ice.

This year, we’re adding even more sweetness with fun, ice-cream-themed jerseys for all players! Jerseys will be distributed during check-in. Please make sure your player is at the correct rink with their team. To help:

• Rink 1 is closest to the lobby.
• Rink 2 is in the middle.
• Rink 3 is the far rink with the divider.
• 14u will only use rinks 1 and 3

Here’s what to expect:

• 8U Division kicks off the tournament on 12/20 with check-in at 3:00 PM (15:00). Pond hockey goals mean lots of scoring excitement!
• 10U, 12U, and 14U Divisions start on 12/21, with championship rounds wrapping up on 12/24:
• 14U check-in: 1:30 PM (13:30)
• 10U check-in: 3:45 PM (15:45)
• 12U check-in: 5:30 PM (17:30)

Check-in begins 1 hour before your first game. We continue to work on rosters to accommodate some friend requests. Please do not stress, all the divisions are time blocked with no overlapping age groups. So, if your player is 10u they will play the entire 10u block of time. 

Highlights of the Tournament:

• Snacks and drinks will be provided for all players each day.
• Daily giveaways and prizes, with player-of-the-day awards for each team.
• Winning teams will receive banners to commemorate their victory.
• 3v3 format with fast-paced action and lots of chances to shine!

Sportsmanship is the heart of Deke the Halls. This event is about celebrating the experience and the love of hockey—not just the wins. We encourage all players, parents, and spectators to bring kindness, positivity, and fun to the rink.

Rules Overview:

• Penalties: A goal will be awarded to the opposing team.
• Tied games: Decided by a 1-player shootout until there’s a winner.
• Playoffs (12/24): Teams down by 3+ goals will add a player (4v3).
• No Checking: Violators face penalties, and serious infractions may lead to suspension.
• Teams must give their opponents 1/4 ice after a goal is scored.
• 14u Division will be 4 v 4 ½ ice games
