Welcome Suzanne Meek: New Head Coach for Rampage Girls Club 6U and 8U Development Teams
We are excited to announce that Suzanne Meek has joined the Rampage Girls Club as the new Head Coach for our 6U and 8U Development Teams! Suzanne brings a wealth of experience and passion for the sport, and we’re thrilled to have her on board.
Suzanne has an impressive coaching history, starting with the St. Louis, MO Tier II Lady Liberty U14 girls' hockey teams, where she coached from 2018 to 2020. In addition to her head coaching role, she contributed to player development across all age groups within the Lady Liberty Program, working with players from ages 4 to 19. Before her time in St. Louis, Suzanne coached learn-to-play hockey programs in Charlestown, MA, gaining experience at the grassroots level of the sport.
Suzanne’s commitment to hockey began during her college years at UMASS Boston, where she earned her BS in Marine Science. While attending, she played Division III women's ice hockey, serving as captain during her senior year and making the academic scholar team each semester. Suzanne later pursued her MS in Geospatial Science at Clark University, where she showcased her versatility by playing on the men’s ice hockey college club team.
Growing up in northern New Jersey, Suzanne played Tier I AAA hockey for the New Jersey Colonials girls' hockey team. Competing at the highest levels, her teams frequently made appearances at Nationals, and she gained valuable experience playing against boys' teams throughout the seasons. In high school, Suzanne balanced a rigorous athletic schedule, playing for both the boys' hockey team and the girls' lacrosse team. She also played a key role in her softball team’s 2007 NJ State Championship win as a utility player, with a preference for third base.
Suzanne is passionate about building self-confidence and pride in her players. “On our teams, we are building confident, strong women—and we happen to be playing ice hockey,” she explains. “Our goal is to make hockey paradise on ice, where girls can come to escape, learn, take calculated risks, be competitive, and become the best teammates possible.”
We are excited to see Suzanne inspire the next generation of champions on the ice!
